The concrete peninsula and the black granite sink counter are the primary horizontal lines, creating a calming and serene effect. These lines are further emphasized with durable materials — a custom hood mounted to a hand-tooled plaster wall and stainless steel shelf over the range. A small niche tucked into a corner provides an unexpected display area as well as a wonderful balance to the linear sensibility.
