HOUSE 4: CONCRETE CRESCENT HOUSE, CULEBRA PR

Dream homes come in all shapes and forms. This sculpture-in-progress is intended as the owner’s second home located atop the island of Culebra, Puerto Rico. Engineered to withstand hurricanes, this home is entirely concrete; its walls are slip-cast to create a crescent shape on its approach and a panoramic vista that opens wide to overlook sapphire waters and islands beyond. After a 15-year construction hiatus, work is being resumed within the year.

Project Scope: Design concrete home to withstand hurricane winds
Estimated Completion: 2016
